The Story of
TANOO
The name Tanoo is our own creation — soft and thoughtful, like the sound of a gentle breeze or the rhythm of placing one piece at a time. It carries the spirit of tanoshii (楽しい) — a Japanese word for joy — and the wonder of discovering something new.
We’re a small puzzle-loving duo based in Perth, Australia, bringing thoughtfully designed puzzles from Asia to people who appreciate beauty, play, and mindful moments.
This is Tanoo. Joy in every piece.
A Little Side Hobby, With a Lot of Heart
Tanoo is a small hobby shop run by the two of us in our spare time.
We both have full-time jobs, and this little corner of the internet is where we unwind and share our love of puzzling with others.
Because we’re a small operation, we don’t keep a lot of stock on hand. Instead, we use a pre-order model to keep things simple, transparent, and affordable. We place bulk puzzle orders every Saturday, and stock usually arrives in Australia within 4-6 weeks.
Once it lands, we ship it out to you with AusPost tracking. It might take a little longer than the big retailers, but it helps us reduce waste and keep prices down for you.
We spend a few hours each week – after work and on weekends – placing orders, packing parcels, chatting with fellow puzzlers, and hunting down new designs we love. Things might move a little slower here, but everything is done with care.
